- High School Diploma*
- Must meet N.C. high school course requirements
- Transferable College Credits (if applicable)
- Only grades of C or higher can transfer
- Recommended cumulative GPA of 2.3 or higher
- ACT or SAT Scores** (if under age 21)
*If you have 24 or more transferable college credits, not required.
**If you have 3 or more years of active military service, not required.

New or Transfer Students
If you have any credits from another institution, you are considered a transfer student. You may apply for Fall or Spring admission.
Fall July 15

Former UNCG Students
If you have attended UNCG previously, you may apply for Summer, Fall, or Spring admission.
Fall August 1

Second-Degree Students
If you have a bachelor’s degree from another institution, you are considered a second-degree student. You may apply for Summer, Fall, or Spring admission.

Create a SpartanLink account to apply online.
This also gives you access to a personal web page, where emails will keep you up to date with important reminders. Visit spartanlink.uncg.edu to get started.
Complete the online application. You can access it from your SpartanLink account (see above). As you do so, make sure you:
- Specify BIPS as your planned major.
- Complete the Community Standards Questions and NC residency portions of the application.
- Submit your $65 nonrefundable application fee.
- Ask the registrar of each institution you’ve attended to send your transcripts directly to UNCG.
Remember: You must be in good standing at your previous institutions. Schools will not release transcripts if you have ANY outstanding bills.

Try before you buy.
If you are interested in the BIPS program but not yet ready to apply, consider taking a class as a Visiting Student. You can earn college credit for a BIPS course without being formally admitted to UNCG. (Fair warning — once you take a course, you’ll be hooked!) Visit UNCG Visiting Students to learn more.
